Investors return to Dubbo property market

Leading western NSW property firm Raine & Horne Dubbo has been welcoming investors back to the market now the first home buyer activity has dampened.

Raine & Horne Dubbo proprietor Peter Allan said the first home buyer market had dropped off, but was replaced by investors keen to pick up the slack.

“We’ve certainly seen the first home buyers disappear, but investors have returned, which is encouraging,” Mr Allan said.

“We’ve also seen an improvement in our top end properties ($600,000 - $1 million). We’ve had more sales in this price bracket this year than we have in a while.

Servicing a shopping population of 130,000 people for an area that extends right to the NSW border means Raine & Horne Dubbo is at the forefront of rural activity.

“We don’t compete with any other town and we service a very large area,” Mr Allan said.

“We predict a recovery in the rural sector this year. We’re out of drought and hoping for good crops ahead to bring money into the economy. The market in Dubbo is strong, steady and stable."

A solid investor market is not the only cause for celebration at the Raine & Horne Dubbo office. The office secured four awards at the 2009 Raine & Horne NSW/ACT Chairman’s Awards, held at the Four Seasons Hotel, Sydney recently.

Raine & Horne Dubbo won the Auction Shield (Coastal & Country), took out first place in the Top Country Office, placed second in Top Office (Number of Sales) and sixth in Top Office (Dollar Value).

Raine & Horne CEO Angus Raine commended Raine & Horne Dubbo for its outstanding contribution and dedication to the property sector in Central West NSW.

“The team at Raine & Horne Dubbo understands the importance of the investor market and positions its services accordingly. In addition, their awards underline Raine & Horne Dubbo’s consistent ability to remain true to its core business, which is achieving property sales and providing the very best property services to vendors and buyers.”

Raine & Horne is an iconic Australian property firm, with more than 400 offices worldwide. Also an established Superbrand along with the likes of Qantas, Vegemite, Woolworths and Myer, the company has four distinct property service brands including Raine & Horne Residential, Raine & Horne Commercial, Raine & Horne Financial Services and Raine & Horne Rural.
