Leading Sydney real estate office pips interstate rivals for major gongs at Raine & Horne’s National Awards

Raine & Horne Double Bay takes top awards
Offices from NSW, Queensland and the Northern Territory were the big movers and shakers at Raine & Horne’s National Awards, announced on Tuesday 21st August in Melbourne.
The awards, held at the iconic Grand Hyatt Melbourne, attracted a record 400 guests from Raine & Horne’s national and international network, with Sydney real estate royalty Raine & Horne Double Bay scooping the blue chip categories, Top Office (Dollar Value) and Top Office (Number of Sales).
However, the powerful Eastern Suburbs-based firm, which employs approximately 80 sales agents and property managers, had to contend with some red-hot competition from category newcomers Raine & Horne Gladstone in the Top Office (Number of Sales) division, and Raine & Horne Darwin in the Top Office (Dollar Value) criteria.
Indeed, Richard Steele, a sales agent with Raine & Horne Gladstone, came from the clouds to grab the Top Salesperson (Number of Sales) prize from more fancied rivals in Sydney, Perth, Melbourne and Brisbane, while Raine & Horne Darwin’s Lenny Holt grabbed fourth place in the category.
In another upset, Raine & Horne Commercial Brisbane North grabbed the award for Top Commercial Office (Dollar Value) from 2011’s REIA commercial office of the year, Raine & Horne Commercial Canberra.
Angus Raine, CEO, Raine & Horne, congratulated the winners of the office and individual awards (see list below), and said that the network’s leading offices demonstrate a number of common characteristics.
“Our leading offices use auctions extensively to deliver the best results for owners, they usually have two to four principals, and employ at least 20 property professionals,” commented Mr Raine.
“They also have significant rent rolls and all team members consistently attend training.
“Likewise, our gold medal winning principals are team leaders, mentors and coaches, who soak up as much training as possible and who urge their teams to greater heights.”
