Prestigious awards for Raine & Horne Concord

Leading inner-west property firm Raine & Horne Concord landed several awards at the 2009 Raine & Horne NSW/ACT Chairman’s Awards, held at the Four Seasons Hotel, Sydney on Saturday 27 February 2010.

The office placed 10th in the hotly contested Top Office (Dollar Value) category. Two members of the sales team - George Sorras and Ross Musso - were also elevated to the Chairman’s Awards.

Raine & Horne Concord proprietor Paul Pettenon credited the great result to teamwork and a strong inner-west market.

“We have high quality and experienced sales people in Paul Milkovic, George Sorras, Ross Musso, Mario Mazzeo, Robert Blanco and Tim Hooper,” Mr Pettenon said.

“The Concord property market wasn't too affected by the GFC. The prices might have settled slightly, but all in all they held pretty firm in 2009.

“We’ve just sold a three-bedroom semi-detached home at 8b Stanley St, Concord for $860,000 prior to auction, which broke all records. The owner’s expectations were in the high $700,000s,” he said.

Tina Biviano took out the Outstanding Property Manager award and officer administrator Silvia Sbuelz was named Outstanding Corporate Support.

“Tina has been with us since she was a receptionist and she has excelled in property management. She has a good relationship with tenants and landlords, and is a real pacifier. She is also super efficient,” Mr Pettenon said.

“Silvia’s strength is supporting the office through implementing office procedures and developing new systems. She is always full of new ideas and plays an important role in supporting the sales and property management department,” he added.

As for the outlook for 2010, Mr Pettenon said there were several positive themes that would underpin the inner-west market.

“There has been a lack of stock and strong buyer confidence, which is driving prices up,” he explained.

“People are confident with interest rates. Even though they have increased they probably won't increase to an unaffordable level.”

Another important trend was buyers wanting to move closer to the city.

“People are buying from the local inner-west area and the Hills district. Many moved to the Hills district for bigger houses, but are now coming back to the inner-west to be closer to the city,” he said.

Raine & Horne CEO Angus Raine commended Raine & Horne Concord for its outstanding contribution and dedication to the inner-west property sector.

"Winning these awards underlines Raine & Horne Concord’s consistent ability to remain true to its core business, which is achieving property sales and providing the very best property services to vendors and buyers," Mr Raine said.
