Raine & Horne appointed to Goondiwindi RSL sale

Media release - 4th October, 2012

Prime site for development and sub-division

  • The Goondiwindi RSL complex will go under the hammer on 12 October 2012, with Raine & Horne Goondiwindi winning the right to auction the prestigious facility
  • The site is ideal as either a hospitality or healthcare facility

One of Goondiwindi’s most recognised facilities, the Goondiwindi RSL complex, is up for auction, and leading local real estate firm, Raine & Horne Goondiwindi, has landed the prestigious listing.

The freehold complex, which is located at 23 Albert Street, Goondiwindi, will go under the hammer via an onsite auction on Friday 12 October 2012.

According to selling agent, Henry Leonard, Principal, Raine & Horne Goondiwindi, the current club was built in 1974 after the previous building was gutted by fire.

“The complex has since been refurbished a number of times,” says Mr Leonard.

The well-developed, modern landscaped complex is located on a large site of 15,568 sqm, and Mr Leonard confirms it will be sold on a ‘walk-in/walk-out’ basis with complete inventory available.

“Aspiring buyers or investors should also note that the property has plenty of scope for further development and sub-division,” advises Mr Leonard.

“It would be ideal as a convention, reception centre or retirement village.

“There is always a waiting list at the local retirement centre, so the Albert Street facility could help meet the demand for units and flats for retirees.”

For buyers considering the property for hospitality usage, it comes with a bistro, dining room, servery and a fully operational commercial kitchen.

“Apart from a number of bars and lounges, the complex also offers cold rooms, storage facilities, offices, a reception foyer and court yards,” confirms Mr Leonard.

“There is also 6,161 sqm of adjoining land, which is available for further development.”
