Raine & Horne appoints new CEO

Media release - 19th June, 2015

Highly regarded Raine & Horne Chief Operating Officer, Brian Reid, has been appointed CEO of the international real estate group.

Brian ReidMr Reid assumes the position of CEO from Angus Raine, who will now focus solely on his role as the firm’s Executive Chairman. Mr Raine was appointed Raine & Horne CEO in 2006.

The appointment of Mr Reid will enable Raine & Horne to deliver more products and services to the group’s customers and clients, while Mr Raine will concentrate on expanding the business in Australia and overseas.

“We opened an office in Dubai early this year, and are fielding interest from local and overseas parties keen to secure a relationship with a well-known, established Australian real estate Superbrand which is regarded as a market leader in the provision of efficient IT systems, training and marketing,” said Mr Raine.

“Brian has an impressive and extensive real estate franchising resume, and over the past 12 months has been implementing a number of exciting initiatives around our IT platforms, and is driving the delivery of a new responsive design website, which will be launched very soon.”

“These initiatives, coupled with the new senior management structure, have resulted in a surge of the brand, particularly in Queensland, and many initiatives have been aimed at staff recruitment and retention.”

Mr Raine stated that the revitalised management team at Raine & Horne will enable the network to expand and develop a culture that will drive success for the network in the years to come.

Mr Reid said he is excited to take on the new role as Raine & Horne launches into yet another exciting chapter in the Superbrand’s 132 year history.

“Over the past 12 months, we have worked very hard to understand the needs of our offices and their clients,” said Mr Reid.

“We have responded with the development of a raft of new products and services, which will help our offices and their clients and deliver more business to the network.

“These initiatives have involved developing our new IT platform, a number of comprehensive external marketing campaigns – which have delivered excellent cut-through – along with a series of innovative internal staff incentive campaigns.”

Mr Reid said that recruitment and retention remain the main drivers for the Raine & Horne group, and he is delighted to have the opportunity to further build a major real estate network and drive its market share.
