Raine & Horne Bondi Beach among winners at prestigious awards

Leading Eastern Suburbs real estate firm Raine & Horne Bondi Beach collected several major gongs at the 2009 NSW/ACT Chairman’s Awards held at the Four Seasons Hotel, Sydney on Saturday 27 February.

Among the winners were licensee-in-charge Mary Anne Cronin, who finished tenth in the highly competitive Top Salesperson (number of sales) category. Ms Cronin and sales agent Paul Ephron also won Chairman’s Club Awards, which were presented by property doyen and Raine & Horne chairman Max Raine.

Ms Cronin attributes the success of Raine & Horne Bondi Beach to its strong team culture and commitment to training.

“Systems, training and transparent communication are the keys to the success of Raine & Horne Bondi. We are keen for everyone to do well and we work hard to support each other," she said.

Ms Cronin conceded that the Global Financial Crisis (GFC) had affected the Bondi Beach market in the early part of 2009, while the spectre of more interest rate hikes remained an issue. However she said a shortage of quality stock would continue to support prices in 2010.

“There are still some shortages, but the market has rebounded strongly and we expect a strong 2010. If I were a vendor, now is a great time to be thinking of moving house.

“We’re seeing investors returning to the market, particularly cashed up expats. However it is primarily home buyers – who become more emotionally attached to Bondi Beach property – who are driving transactions.”

Ms Cronin said a more bountiful 2010 investment banking bonus season would underpin the property markets of Bondi Beach its surrounding areas.

Beach suburbs were set to do well in 2010 and everyone wanted to be part of the Bondi Beach brand.

"This is pushing up prices across all price points, from entry level apartments at $500,000 to $8 million penthouses," she said.

Raine & Horne is an iconic Australian property firm, with more than 370 offices worldwide. It is a recognised, official Superbrand along with the likes of Qantas, Vegemite, Woolworths and Myer. The company has four distinct property service brands including Raine & Horne Residential, Raine & Horne Commercial, Raine & Horne Financial Services and Raine & Horne Rural.
