Raine & Horne Double Bay’s award-winning ways underpin Superbrand’s strength in Sydney

Media release - 4th March 2015

The house-full sign was up at Doltone House, Hyde Park, Sydney, on Saturday 28th February, for the highly anticipated Raine & Horne NSW-ACT 2014 Annual Awards.

More than 400 of the Superbrand’s best and brightest principals, sales agents, property managers and support staff attended the awards at Sydney’s newest event venue, which reaffirmed the Harbour City as Raine & Horne’s real estate stronghold.

“We have offices across the globe from Darwin to Dubai but our mega office, Raine & Horne Double Bay, located in the heart of Sydney’s Eastern Suburbs, continued its unprecedented run as our firm’s top performing office on Saturday night,” said Angus Raine, Executive Chairman and CEO, Raine & Horne.

“For more than a decade, Raine & Horne Double Bay has dominated at both state and national level as our number one office for listings and revenues.

“This record continued on Saturday night with the team at Raine & Horne Double Bay, which is led by the energetic quartet of Ric Serrao, Martin Maskin, Barry Goldman and Mark Goldman, also landing first place as our firm’s best auction listing office in the Sydney metropolitan area.”

Mr Serrao was also named Raine & Horne’s Top Salesperson (Principal) for Dollar Value in NSW/ACT, just ahead of long-term rival Andrew Sorensen from Raine & Horne Charmhaven. Barry Goldman and Mark Goldman were among the top ten principals in this highly competitive category.

The Double Bay ace also led the way in the Number of Sales (Principal) category, once again outpointing Mr Sorensen and Grant Maskill-Dowton from Raine & Horne Bathurst.

Additionally, Raine & Horne Double Bay and affiliate Raine & Horne Bondi Beach won the Superbrand’s Multiple Office Award.

“I don’t deny that the unprecedented run by Sydney’s real estate markets has contributed to the strong showing by our big city offices, however the likes of Raine & Horne Double Bay keep scoring appraisals and listings, no matter whether it’s a bull or bear real estate market,” said Mr Raine.

Other Sydney offices to feature among the awards include Raine & Horne Dee Why, which grabbed third in the Top Office – Number of Sales category behind Raine & Horne Double Bay and regional powerhouse, Raine & Horne Bathurst. The Northern Beaches office also scored a creditable second behind Raine & Horne Double Bay in the Top Office Dollar Value criteria, and finishing just ahead of Raine & Horne Terrigal-Avoca.

North Shore powerhouse Raine & Horne Neutral Bay also featured in the Top Office Dollar Value category, as did Inner West stars Raine & Horne Newtown and Raine & Horne Concord.

“Our big city offices figured prominently, which is a testament to their professionalism, consistency and the strong and enduring markets they operate in,” said Mr Raine.

Western Sydney was also very well-represented with gun sales agent Peter Diamantidis, Raine & Horne St Marys named Raine & Horne’s best agent based on number of sales and dollar value.

Away from Sydney, and Raine & Horne Wellington was named as the Top Rural Office (Dollar Value) for 2014 with Raine & Horne Bathurst named as the Top Country Office (Dollar Value).

Raine & Horne Terrigal-Avoca followed up last year’s breakthrough win, with another first in the Top Coastal Office (Dollar Value) category, with Central Coast neighbour, Raine & Horne Charmhaven winning the Auction Shield Country/Coastal gong.

Raine & Horne Charmhaven’s Andrew Sorensen was also named as Raine & Horne’s Top Auction Lister. Mr Sorensen attributed his award winning ways to his trust in the auction process. “Hands down, it’s the best way to list and sell a property,” said Mr Sorensen.

“It gets the best market price and multiple inspections, which gives owners lots of information to make decisions about the price of the property.

“An auction also reduces the risk of getting a price wrong, either on the downside or overpricing it.”

Mr Sorensen said winning auction awards was very special for him personally.

“With Ric Serrao and myself consistently the top two auction listing agents in the Raine & Horne network, it’s no coincidence that we’re also regularly among the top selling agents in terms of volumes and values too,” he said.
