Raine & Horne Double Bay wins big at prestigious real estate awards

It is best known for record Eastern Suburbs home sales, yet Raine & Horne Double Bay principal Michael Pallier, his staff were thrilled to win the hotly contested Top Office awards for number of sales and dollar value categories at the recent Raine & Horne NSW and ACT Chairman’s Awards.

Mr Pallier, one of four Sydney agents featured on the Nine Network’s hit, The Block in 2010, was also named Raine & Horne’s Top Selling Proprietor (dollar value) at the event held at Sydney’s Westin Hotel on 19 February 2011.

In addition, the sales ace was elevated to Raine & Horne’s prestigious Chairman’s Club (for sales), which recognises the network’s best selling and listing agents in 2010. He also placed third in the Top Salesperson (number of sales) category and was among the network’s top three auction listers for 2010 in NSW/ACT.

Interestingly, Mr Pallier’s co-principal Ric Serrao was named the network’s leading auction lister. The consistent Mr Serrao also grabbed second in the Top Salesperson (Number of sales) and the Top Salesperson (dollar value) categories.

Mr Serrao was also elevated to the Chairman’s Club along with Raine & Horne Double Bay’s other co-principals Barry Goldman and Martin Maskin. Mr Goldman grabbed third in Top Salesperson (Proprietor) for dollar value behind Mr Pallier and Mr Serrao.

Proving Raine & Horne Double Bay’s achievements are an all-round team effort, Daphne Sauvage, Di Wilkenfeld, Mark Goldman and Walter Antonelli were also elevated to the Chairman’s Club (for sales).

Additionally, Raine & Horne Double Bay won the Auction Shield, awarded to best listing office in the Sydney metropolitan area.

Mr Pallier was quick to praise his colleagues Ric Serrao, Barry Goldman, Martin Maskin and the team at Raine & Horne Double Bay for its successes.

“In addition to Martin, Ric, Barry and Walter, we have a great team of people with a great track record, operating in an excellent location,” Mr Pallier said.

As for 2011 predictions, Mr Pallier expects the strong start enjoyed by Sydney’s property market to continue.

“It has surprised us how quickly the market has strengthened to a point where it’s as strong as it’s ever been.”

“In our area, bankers are getting bonuses again and this is good for our market. Some have been paid bigger bonuses than ever before. When the bankers have money they want to buy homes near private schools. There are only a few of those in the Eastern Suburbs, so that is helping the market bounce back.”

Mr Pallier is predicting growth across all price points in the Eastern Suburbs and that the prestige market will be strong, with more sales records broken.

“If I was buying, I’d be getting into the market sooner rather than later as we can expect decent price growth over the next 18 months,” Mr Pallier said.

“It’s a great time to sell but only if the plan is to upgrade. I wouldn’t be selling and moving the proceeds into the bank.”

Raine & Horne CEO Angus Raine commended Raine & Double Bay for its outstanding contribution and dedication to the property sector in Sydney’s east.

“Winning these awards underlines Raine & Horne Double Bay’s consistent ability to remain true to its core business, which is achieving property sales and providing the very best property services to vendors and buyers, Mr Raine said.
