Raine & Horne expands footprint on the Gold Coast

Media release

Broadbeach, Queensland (31 October 2017) Raine & Horne’s aggressive expansion in Queensland continued this week with the launch of a new office in Broadbeach on the Gold Coast.

Experienced local agents Bill Rex, Phillip Hausfeld and Mandy Chiu have combined to open Raine & Horne Broadbeach.

“The new business has evolved from the merger of Mandy’s independent firm, Infinite 88 and Rex’s former firm, Broadbeach Real Estate,” said Angus Raine, Executive Chairman, Raine & Horne.

Mr Raine launched Raine & Horne Broadbeach at a lavish event held at the firm’s new location at Shop 19, Niecon Plaza, 22 Albert Avenue Broadbeach, on Thursday 26 October.

“Phillip and Bill worked together for an extended period at Broadbeach Real Estate, so the launch of the new office represents a commercial reunion for the two seasoned property professionals,” Mr Raine said.

“This is an exciting partnership as we now have 6 offices on the Gold Coast, which is undergoing a property Renaissance thanks to the infrastructure injection provided by the upcoming Commonwealth Games.”

The decision to launch the new office under the Raine & Horne banner was simple for the new business partners, said Mr Rex.

“Mandy was the first to raise the prospect of working together and I felt the new business would prosper best on the Gold Coast under the auspices of a global Superbrand such as Raine & Horne,” he said.

“The decision was made simpler by my long association with Raine & Horne’s general manager in Queensland, Steve Worrad. We worked together at another real estate brand.

“I called Steve who has been very helpful in assisting us to put the business together. This includes finding the office’s excellent location in the Niecon Plaza.”

Moreover, the trio’s resolution to join a recognised international real estate brand is already paying dividends.

“We have fielded enquiries from southern state investors seeking a reputable manager to oversee their rental properties. Owners from out-of-town are approaching us because they recognise the Raine & Horne brand,” said Mr Hausfeld.

Mr Hausfeld, noted, “This is a great story that Bill and I are back together, and that we’re collaborating with Mandy, a former competitor.

“We have also been very pleased with the support offered by Raine & Horne every step of the way. Their product offering to principals is very solid. However, it’s the family business structure that we find appealing.

“Raine & Horne has a very approachable and friendly culture that is unique and this matches the style of business we will be operating.”

Mr Hausfeld, who enjoyed a long career in IT sales and marketing before real estate is particularly impressed with Raine & Horne’s technology platforms. He nominates Scout, Raine & Horne’s communication and learning portal, as an industry leading IT platform, along with Compass, the firm’s innovative customer relationship management (CRM) tool.

“My decades-long real estate experience, combined with Phillip’s deep technology knowledge and Mandy’s international contacts will enable Raine & Horne Broadbeach to provide a unique level of service to vendors, buyers and investors with property interests in Broadbeach and surrounding suburbs,” noted Mr Rex.

“Real estate has been my career, Phillip has forgotten more than most people know about technology and Mandy is fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese, which will enable us to service a growing market of buyers and investors from Hong Kong, Singapore and Mainland China, as well as buyers from Sydney.

“I have been hugely impressed with the job Raine & Horne has done to get us up and running and it’s pleasing that Angus Raine and Steve Worrad were able to join us in launching our new office.”
