Raine & Horne grows west with launch of Green Valley office

Media release - 21st October, 2013

Sydney's south west a great option for young families

Raine & Horne has added a 16th office to its growing network in Sydney’s Greater West, with the recent launch of Raine & Horne Green Valley.

Raine & Horne Green ValleyLed by prominent local real estate agent and businessman, John Hana, Raine & Horne Green Valley, located at Shop 20, 178 Green Valley Road, Green Valley, is set to make a major mark in the 2168 and 2171 postcodes, which include Green Valley, Hinchinbrook, Bonnyrigg and Bonnyrigg Heights, Heckenberg, Cecil Hills and the New Elizabeth Hills.

“We are also servicing newer suburbs such as Edmonson Park, Middleton Grange and Greenway Park, plus the nearby Parks area including St Johns Park, Edensor Park and Greenfield Park, where home affordability and the potential for consistent long-term growth are major appeals for buyers,” said Mr Hana, who was employed for seven years by a major real estate network to service the 2168 and 2171 postcodes.

In established suburbs such as Heckenberg, according to Mr Hana, it is possible to secure a 25-year old, three bedroom home from $350,000.

“Entry level buyers can acquire modern three bedroom townhouses or duplexes on 280-350 sqm blocks with lock up garages in the early $400,000s in Green Valley, where there is nothing older than 20 years,” said Mr Hana.

Mr Hana believes another attraction of the 2168 postcode is its proximity to employment, with Liverpool a 5 to 10 minute drive by car, while Parramatta is a 20 minute commute via the M4.

“It’s also a manageable 45 minute drive on the M7 to the Sydney CBD,” adds Mr Hana, who describes the region as family-friendly.

“We have plenty of local private and public schools, including Freeman Catholic College, Bonnyrigg, where my daughter Janet is completing the HSC.”

“We are also well-served with smaller community shopping centres, rather than mega-malls, which adds to the region’s appeal for younger families, and is a significant reason for the decision to locate Raine & Horne Green Valley in the Green Valley Shopping Centre.”

Looking beyond the launch, Mr Hana believes that the region is set for a solid Spring selling season, amid increasing buyer enquiry levels.

“For those who bought homes back in 2008 and 2009 when the government was handing out additional benefits to first home owners, it’s worth keeping in mind that property values in Green Valley have grown by around 5% p.a. over the last five years,” says Mr Hana.

“This additional equity means existing owners of homes in Green Valley and surrounding suburbs are well placed to move up the property ladder, and now is a good time to make the move with buyers out in force, buoyed by record low interest rates.”

Mr Hana is also confident the recent brand evolution for Raine & Horne is having significant cut-through with buyers, while he claims the 130-year old firm’s flat management structure was another major business appeal.

“Raine & Horne understand what makes a small business tick and I was impressed with the firm’s ‘can do’ approach throughout the negotiation process and the role that the owners played,” he said.

In welcoming Mr Hana to the leading real estate group, Angus Raine, Executive Chairman and CEO of Raine & Horne, says the decision to launch the new office at Green Valley is an additional boost for the Superbrand’s long-term relationship with Sydney’s Greater West.

“John will bring to Raine & Horne Green Valley his first-hand knowledge of the local real estate market, plus his extensive business experience operating successful, local security firms such as Night Eagle Security over the last couple of decades,” said Mr Raine.

“He also has a strong commitment to the local community and is a long-time member of the Blood Bank of Liverpool and regular donor.”

“I look forward to working with John and the team at Raine & Horne Green Valley and wish them every success.”
