Raine & Horne helps Alexandria Hills vendor support Seeing Eye Dogs Australia

Media release

Cleveland, QLD (27 October 2017) Alexandria Hills homeowner Laila Abbassy has won $2,5000 for her favourite charity, Seeing Eye Dogs Australia by listing her home at 84 Vienna Road, Alexandria Hills exclusively with global real estate firm Raine & Horne.

Ms Abbassy has chosen to donate $2,500 to Seeing Eye Dogs Australia

The $2,500 donation is one of 16 grants Raine & Horne has made available to vendors who choose to exclusively list their properties with the Superbrand this spring.

“Raine & Horne is donating a total of $40,000 worth of grants to sporting and community groups and charities as part of our Local Hero campaign,” said Angus Raine, Executive Chairman, Raine & Horne.

“Our Local Hero campaign is a community focused promotion supporting local sporting and community clubs and associations achieving great things in their local communities.

“Grassroots sporting groups and community associations are the lifeblood of many Australian districts, yet they are often forced to operate on the smell of an oily rag.

“We believe they deserve some financial support through our Local Hero campaign, which is our way of saying thank you for their community commitment.”

Ms Abbassy chose to support Seeing Eye Dogs Australia because “of the wonderful work the charity performs for people and the community”.

“Seeing Eye Dogs Australia keeps vision impaired people independent by helping them use transport, go shopping, and safely cross roads. The dogs are exceptional and the carers for the dogs are exceptional too,” said Ms Abbassy.

Ms Abbassy was pleased with the financial assistance from Raine & Horne, which enabled her to support Seeing Eye Dogs Australia.

“It’s important to work with companies that give back to the community,” she said.

“I’m glad Raine and Horne have given me this opportunity to choose Seeing Eye Dogs Australia that does such amazing work. This opportunity is invaluable.”

All home owners must do to enter the ‘Local Hero’ competition is list their homes exclusively with a local Raine & Horne agent before 16 November 2017. They will then go into the draw to win one of 16 $2,500 donations for their local, amateur, sporting team of choice, said Mr Raine.
