Raine & Horne launches free, real-time property portal for real estate consumers

Media release - 28th August, 2013

Investrac to serve up historical and real time property data

  • Raine & Horne will launch Investrac on 1 September, 2013
  • Investrac is a free service to Raine & Horne customers and is accessible via social media platforms such as LinkedIn, Facebook and Google+
  • It is the only online property portal of its kind offered by a major real estate network

In a move that will make it simpler for consumers to monitor the values of their properties, leading real estate brand Raine & Horne has launched Investrac, an information portal providing free, real-time property market information, at its annual National Conference on the Gold Coast.

“Aussies have a passion for property but times have changed and along with the adage ‘location, location, location’, consumers must also consider a new mantra – ‘timing, timing, timing’,” says Angus Raine, who unveiled the property portal at the conference, which attracted hundreds of real estate specialists from across Australia to the Gold Coast last week.

“In our fast-moving world, knowledge is power and time is money, which is why Raine & Horne is proud to offer Investrac to our homeowners, buyers and investors.”

With access via LinkedIn, Facebook or Google+, Investrac, the only online portal of its kind offered by a major real estate network, allows customers registered with Raine & Horne to monitor property information, such as historical market statistics dating back 15 years, and track real time property data.

“It’s a great tool that also enables users to follow the property market in their local area and those suburbs and towns where they may have real estate investments.”

Investrac provides property consumers with the number of sales in a suburb or town, the average sales price, median prices, recent sales and current stock.

“Ultimately, we want our customers to make informed buying, selling or investment decisions, and Investrac, along with the advice of a Raine & Horne agent, can make a significant difference to the financial outcome of a property transaction,” says Mr Raine.

“We have tested Investrac with a large sample of our offices and have received excellent feedback.

“Investrac is due to go live on 1 September, 2013 and interested property consumers can contact their nearest Raine & Horne agent to find out more.”

Apart from the unveiling of Investrac, conference delegates were treated to a stellar line up of speakers at the conference, including Paul Clitheroe OAM, chairman and chief commentator at Money Magazine and chairman of the Federal Government’s Financial Literacy Board, Sebastian Terry, who at the age of 27 decided to put pen to paper and create his list of 100 Things, as well as Olympic and World Championship winning swimming coach, Laurie Lawrence.

Other speakers included customer relationship management expert Belinda Yabsley, highly-regarded real estate trainer Lee Woodward, and property management expert Fiona Blayney.

“Raine & Horne National Conferences have an outstanding reputation for offering varied and engaging speakers, and this year’s conference, which also marked our 130th year, was no different,” says Mr Raine.

“We had a magic schedule of speakers headed by Paul, Seb and Laurie, as well as some of the stars from the Raine & Horne network and the real estate industry that inspired, motivated and encouraged the hundreds of real estate specialists who attended the conference.”
