Raine & Horne Queanbeyan/Jerrabomberra win prestigious awards

Leading local property firm Raine & Horne Queanbeyan/Jerrabomberra landed a number of awards at the 2009 Raine & Horne NSW/ACT Chairman’s Awards, held at the Four Seasons Hotel, Sydney on Saturday 27 February 2010.

The firm finished third in the Top Country Office category, while Brendan Mallon was elevated to the Property Manager’s Chairman’s Club.

Sales agent and Associate Tim Stafford, one of Raine & Horne Queanbeyan/Jerrabomberra’s quiet achievers, was given a Chairman’s Award for his exceptional sales efforts in 2009 and commitment to the Raine & Horne brand.

Michael Mallon, proprietor of Raine & Horne Queanbeyan/Jerrabomberra, said the awards recognised the consistency of the sales and property management team and its ability to generate plenty of referral business from ex-tenants and owners through exceptional service.

“We have low vacancy rates in the region, which puts pressure on our property managers and Brendan and the whole team have done well matching the right tenants with the right rental homes,” said Mr Mallon.

“They are committed to using our systems and processes and undergo regular training to help them keep tenants and landlords informed.”

Low vacancy rates and tenant competition is also pushing up yields in the Queanbeyan region and Mr Mallon says this is set to continue in 2010.

“Units selling for $255,000 will return about $260 a week in Queanbeyan, while a townhouse worth $415,000, landlords can expect $400 to $410 a week,” said Mr Mallon.

“It’s a tightly held market, which means 2010 could also be a good year to cash in your chips if you’re a long term landlord considering your retirement options.”
