Raine & Horne scores a massive 18 REISA Awards nominations

Media release - 1st September, 2016

Leading real estate group Raine & Horne will make a significant mark when the Real Estate Institute of SA’s (REISA) Annual Awards for Excellence are announced on Saturday 22 October in Adelaide.

“Eight of our offices have been nominated across nine award classifications including Business Broker, Community Service, Corporate Support, Local Residential Salesperson and multiple residential sales and property management categories,” said Michael McDonald, CEO of Raine & Horne South Australia.

Kate Smith (RH Semaphore) with Angus Raine“Our star agent, Kate Smith, Principal of Raine & Horne Semaphore, is in the running to take out the prestigious South Australian Salesperson - Residential award, and multiple winner of the REISA Business Broker Award, Simon Winter, is once again a strong contender in this category.

“This is a fantastic result, and the 18 nominations underline the fact Raine & Horne is not only making a significant mark selling and managing South Australian properties, but we are also proving to be an employer of choice.

“We have a challenging jobs market in South Australia, yet the real estate industry, led by companies such as Raine & Horne, which has been in business for 133 years, is providing excellent financial opportunities and employment stability.

“The combination of financial rewards and strong career prospects is appealing to increasing numbers of high-quality candidates as our results in the REISA awards testify.”

Raine & Horne Executive Chairman Angus Raine said the bag of nominations underpins the advancement of the 133-year old’s brand strategy in South Australia.

“We launched our first foray into Adelaide in 1988 and my father, Max Raine, recruited Managing Director Chris Weston in 1996, who took on the ownership of our operations in South Australia,” said Mr Raine.

“In this time, Chris has been hugely instrumental in building and expanding the reputation of the brand in South Australia and the 18 nominations for the REISA awards are a massive reflection of his dedication to the Raine & Horne cause, along with the commitment of Michael and the team in the Raine & Horne SA corporate office.

“It’s personally pleasing that Kate Smith, who was recently named Raine & Horne’s top principal in Australia for number of sales, and Simon Winter, a Real Estate Institute of Australia award winner, have been joined by a wide selection of our team in South Australia in vying for REISA awards.
