Brian Reid appointed as Chief Operations Officer

Leading real estate group Raine & Horne has bolstered its management team with the recruitment of experienced industry figure Brian Reid as Chief Operations Officer.

With experience in real estate and financial services extending over 30 years, Mr Reid has worked in senior management roles with leading financial services firms as well as a number of other major real estate brands.

Interestingly, one of Mr Reid’s first roles in real estate was as a salesperson working under Raine & Horne doyen, Max Raine.

According to Angus Raine, CEO of Raine & Horne, Mr Reid has a first-class record in the industry.

“Brian knows what it takes to drive the success of a real estate network and the importance of putting clients and customers first,” says Mr Raine.

“Brian joins Raine & Horne as we build on the successful realignment that commenced with our rebrand in late 2011, and continues now with an increasing focus on the services, marketing tools and support our offices need to become even more profitable businesses.”

Even as recognised Superbrand Raine & Horne celebrates 130 years as a leading player in Australian real estate, Mr Raine says the company is always looking to expand its experience and skills, and notes Mr Reid’s appointment is integral to future growth plans.

With another real estate group, Mr Reid was responsible for the spectacular growth of its national property division and was the chairman of its mortgage division.

“This business had over 400 outlets throughout Australia and New Zealand and over a seven-year period as general manager, Brian more than doubled turnover,” says Mr Raine.

“This highlights the quality that Brian brings to Raine & Horne, and I am personally excited by the prospect of working with him over the coming years.”
