Raine & Horne to double WA operations inside three years under new business manager

Raine & Horne is set to double its Western Australian network following the appointment of industry stalwart Peter Arscott to the position of business support and development manager.

Raine & Horne CEO Angus Raine said that with 20 offices in WA, the organisation had a set a series of stretch targets to increase the size of its WA network to 40 residential offices in the next three years.

"We're confident that Peter will help us achieve these goals,” Mr Raine said.

Mr Arscott, who has more than 25 years business experience and is the current proprietor of Raine & Horne Canning Vale, in Perth’s southern suburbs, started his new role on 22 March, 2011.

Mr Arscott will assume business support and development responsibilities after former Raine & Horne WA CEO Mark Sinclair sold his 50% stake to Raine & Horne (Holdings) Pty Ltd in November 2010.

“Peter was the outstanding candidate during the selection process, and as an existing member of the Raine & Horne network, his appointment will provide the perfect link for the business following the departure of Mark Sinclair,” Mr Raine said.

“Peter will continue Mark’s work in building the Raine & Horne brand in WA, and he will aggressively drive the growth of existing and future Raine & Horne offices.”

In addition to a focus on business development, Mr Arscott will also mentor, coach and motivate existing offices, while assisting in all facets of Raine & Horne’s WA operations.

“Peter will also help Raine & Horne maintain its commitment to provide our WA franchisees with full access to our extensive marketing, training, branding and IT systems,” Mr Raine said.

Mr Arscott will be based in Raine & Horne’s corporate offices at Suite 3, 11 Richardson St, South Perth, and will be assisted by experienced customer service officer, Susan Power.

“The appointment of Mr Arscott is also timely, with the local real estate market beginning to show more positive signs in 2011,” Mr Raine said, noting a recent Housing Industry Association report showing WA's new house sales increased by 6.3% in January.

Raine & Horne is an iconic Australian property firm, with more than 400 offices worldwide. Also an established Superbrand along with the likes of Qantas, Vegemite, Woolworths and Myer, the company has four distinct property service brands including Raine & Horne Residential, Raine & Horne Commercial, Raine & Horne Financial Services and Raine & Horne Rural.
