Strong local property market gives Bowral business award winning edge

Bowral's property market is continuing its winning streak in 2011, with strong local turnover and several marquee sales proving the Southern Highlands centre is one of NSW’s property hotspots.

“The market has been hot for six to 12 months, and some recent good sales are continuing this trend,” Matthew Anstee, principal Raine & Horne Bowral, said.

Mr Anstee recently sold at auction “The Rift”, an iconic Bowral home set on almost 7 acres, for $3 million. The Italianate mansion, built in 1895 and located at 12 Carlisle St, Bowral, boasts five bedrooms, three bathrooms and superb gardens.

“This follows on from our sale of the same property only 10 months earlier, and I believe this repeat business is a testament to the strength of our brand,” Mr Anstee said.

In the last week Mr Anstee also sold another landmark Bowral property for $3.75 million, further confirming Raine & Horne Bowral’s place as a market leader in the Southern Highlands.

“We had a 28% market share in Bowral for 2010, which is a fantastic result considering there are 43 real estate agencies in the Southern Highlands region,” he added.

But Mr Anstee is not alone in recognising the outstanding performances of the team at Raine & Horne Bowral, with the office receiving three awards at the recent Raine & Horne NSW/ACT Chairman’s Awards held at the Westin Hotel, Sydney on Saturday 19 February 2011.

The biggest gong was the Top Office Business Growth award, which highlighted the expansion of the Raine & Horne Bowral business in 2010, based on dollar value sales.

“This is a serious result when you consider there are around 150 offices in NSW and the ACT, and we are operating in a town with a population of around 52,000 people,” said Mr Anstee.

“This just shows how much we have been able to build up this business since we took it over three years ago, to a point where we are now delivering the highest sales increases in the Raine & Horne network.”

The office also received third place in the Top Country Office (Dollar Value) category, while Mr Anstee was elevated into the prestigious Raine & Horne Chairman’s Club for his sales and listing performances in 2010.

“None of these awards would have been possible without a fantastic effort from our team, and it just goes to show that our strong opinion of work ethic and service is paying dividends, especially for our clients."

Raine & Horne CEO, Angus Raine, commended Raine & Horne Bowral for its outstanding achievements and dedication to the Southern Highlands property market and the local community.

“Matthew Anstee and the team at Raine & Horne Bowral are winning these awards due to their consistent ability to remain true to our core business, which is achieving property sales and providing the very best property management services," Mr Raine said.
