Toowoomba real estate firm scores property award double for third year

Brisbane, Queensland (21 March 2018) Raine & Horne Toowoomba continues to be one of the state’s most successful regional real estate businesses after scoring a pair of major awards at the 2018 Annual Raine & Horne Queensland State Awards, held recently at the iconic Star casino on the Gold Coast. 

The wins by Raine & Horne Toowoomba, led by Andrew Lynch, in the Top Office - Number of Sales and Dollar Value categories, was well-received by the audience of nearly 400 guests who attended the event that was hosted by Angus Raine, Executive Chairman, Raine & Horne.

“This is a tremendous effort by Andrew and his team, and it’s the third year in a row Raine & Horne Toowoomba has scored the dual office awards, which are hotly contested by all our Queensland businesses,” noted Mr Raine.

Raine & Horne Toowoomba is celebrating 20 years as part of the 135-year-old global real estate network, and other winners from the award-winning office include Grace Hilder who won the Outstanding Business Support and Development for Property Management category and an award for Property Management Marketing Excellence.

In the significant individual categories, Jamie Willmen from Raine & Horne Pottsville Beach/Cabarita Beach grabbed the gong as the network’s Top Salesperson (Principal) Number of Sales and the prize as the Top Salesperson (Principal) Dollar Value category. Raine & Horne Pottsville Beach/Cabarita Beach was fifth in the Office - Dollar Value category.

Wide Bay–Burnett sales agent, Clare Dawson scored first as the group’s Top Salesperson - Number of Sales. However, Ms Dawson was forced to take second behind Raine & Horne Redcliffe’s Stephanie Williams in the Top Salesperson - Dollar Value category. Rob Creighton of Raine & Horne Tin Can Bay scored first in the Top Salesperson (Principal) - Dollar Value criteria. Tin Can Bay also featured in the top ten for the office dollar value and number of sales categories.

Another principal to score big was Margaret Vote, from Raine & Horne Wynnum Manly. Ms Vote finished third in the Top Salesperson - Dollar Value category and fourth Top Salesperson (Principal) - Number of Sales. For her efforts, Ms Vote was awarded the Graeme Skarratt Award for her service to Raine & Horne and the Wynnum and Manly communities.

By way of background, Graeme Skarratt OAM was employed by Raine & Horne for an exceptional 60 years and for much of his time was invaluable as the right-hand man of former Raine & Horne Chairman and Australian real estate doyen Max Raine.

“A quiet achiever, Margaret has been an agent for 18 years in the Wynnum Manly Lota area and is consistently one of our best agents in Queensland. She is a deserving recipient of the Graeme Skarratt Award,” said Mr Raine.

Other significant winners, included sales agent Matthew Garth from Raine & Horne Woodford, who was named Top Salesperson - Number of Sales Growth and Top Salesperson - Dollar Value Growth.

Another popular winner was Raine & Horne Bribie Island, led by principal Gay Rossi, which was named the group’s Top Office Business Growth (Number of Sales).

Raine & Horne Port Douglas/Mossman, led by David Cotton and Travis Schumacher, grabbed second behind Raine & Horne Toowoomba in the Top Office - Number of Sales and the Top Office - Dollar Value categories. Mr Cotton was fourth in the Top Salesperson (Principal) Dollar Value and Charlie Madgwick was named Raine & Horne’s rookie salesperson in Queensland for 2017.
