Zuccoli Stage 1a sells out in 24 hours

Media release - 26th June 2015

  • Stage 1a of Zuccoli Aspire sells in 1 day, with block prices starting from $116,000
  • Zuccoli Aspire represent the best value land in Darwin, if not all of Australia
  • The $400,000 cost of buying the land and building a townhouse compares favourably with owning a one bedroom apartment in the Darwin CBD
  • Stage 1b will go on sale Saturday 27 June, 2015

Proving that first home buyers will respond to quality, well-priced real estate, Stage 1a of Zuccoli Aspire sold out in just 24 hours, according to selling agent, Glenn Grantham, General Manager, Raine & Horne Darwin.

In the quick-fire sale held in the middle of June, about 80% of the 63 blocks in Stage 1 sold to first home buyers, with the remainder snapped up by second-time buyers, according to Mr Grantham, who is acting on behalf of Costojic, a partnership between developer Costa Property and local firm Ostojic.

“The best valued blocks of 302 sqm sold from just $116,000, which is about $70,000 cheaper than any land available for sale in Darwin or Palmerston,” said Mr Grantham.

“This is a fantastic result and I’d like to commend the developer Costojic for giving first home buyers the opportunity to stake a claim in the Darwin property market.

“Before Zuccoli Aspire hit the market, many first home buyers had no chance of getting off the rental treadmill, which the critics of this development need to be mindful of.”

According to Mr Grantham, it will cost around $300,000 to build a decent three bedroom, two storey townhouse at Zuccoli Aspire.

“In total, a first home buyer can expect to pay $400,000 to buy the land and build a home with a small courtyard and garden,” says Mr Grantham.

“In terms of creating a lifestyle, buying into the Zuccoli Aspire development is a no-brainer for many first timers, when the only other option in this price range is a tiny 70 sqm, one bedroom apartment in the CBD.”

The next tranche of 120 blocks in Stage 1b of Zuccoli Aspire will go on sale 27 June, 2015 and for more information contact Adam McCann from the Raine & Horne Darwin Development Marketing team on 08 8941 8941.
