Inner West property firm dominating real estate industry awards

August 13, 2018

Winter is awards season for the property industry and Inner West real estate hotshot Raine & Horne Newtown is cashing in big time.

In the middle of July, Raine & Horne Newtown was named by property platform, Real Estate Business (REB), as its Property Management Team of the Year (7 or more Property Managers) for 2018. Also, new-business executive Adam Freitas won REB’s 2018 BDM (Business Development Manager) of the Year - Property Management.

Raine & Horne Newtown is also a 2018 REINSW Awards for Excellence finalist in the Residential Property Management Team category for the second year in a row.

Following closely behind these significant industry accolades, Raine & Horne Newtown scored big at the 2018 Raine & Horne National Awards held at the ritzy Palazzo Versace Gold Coast last week.

Mr Freitas was named by the 135-year-old real estate firm as its Outstanding Business Development Manager (Property Management) for 2018, a ringing endorsement of the REB recognition.

On the sales front, dynamic and industrious Raine & Horne Newtown Principals Michael Harris and Duncan Gordon ranked highly in Raine & Horne’s Top Salesperson (Principal) – Number of Sales category. Raine & Horne Newtown also scored a top ten ranking in the Top Offices for Dollar Value.

Co-Principal Gerard Hill attributes Raine & Horne Newtown’s award-winning ways to its strong team culture. He explains, “We have great people working at Raine & Horne Newtown who are highly professional in everything they do. We work hard to stay at the top of our game and we’re very proud of all that our team continue to achieve.

Mr Hill added, “It’s a testament to the workplace culture we have built here that we have a number of staff who have been here well over 10 years. We have also integrated a very process-focused operation, so you end up with a seamless process for every client whether they’re a vendor or landlord.”

“We can demonstrate our processes are working, given we have grown the property management business from 280 in July 1999 to 1,600. We have also won a large tender recently with the Roads and Maritime Authority to look after 300 homes for them across the entire Sydney metropolitan region, which has helped to facilitate this growth.”

Mr Hill says Adam Freitas’s attention to detail sets him apart from his property management peers, saying, “Adam is a very detail-oriented person, who has an outstanding work ethic. He’s relentless in his pursuit to get the best for his clients at every opportunity.”

Mr Hill, who has just reached 19 years as a Raine & Horne Principal, says the appeal of Raine & Horne remains its family ownership structure.

“Max and Angus Raine, Brian Reid and the whole Corporate team have been amazing to deal with over many years. They are a family business, and this fits well as I view my employees as a family unit.

“Raine & Horne always listen to us and have a commitment to innovations such as Digikit, which is a fantastic addition to our digital sales and marketing arsenal.”

Digikit is a web-based interactive appraisal platform that utilises data from CoreLogic and information from an agent to build customised, on-the-spot market statistics and comparable property reports.

“The platform gives vendors instant information at their fingertips, anytime on any digital device, and its paperless, which is another tick for me,” Mr Hill confirmed.
