Pets
If you are looking to add a new pet to your family, there are a few things to do first in order to make this change.
A pet application must be submitted to your Property Manager, who will seek approval from the Owner. If you live in a complex, or townhouse we may also need to seek approval from Body Corporate.
There are also specific clauses within your lease agreement that you also need to be aware of:
- Pets are not permitted in habitable areas of the house and this includes the garage and laundry. There may certain exemptions made, however these will need to be specified in the application and approved by the Owner.
- Any damage caused by pets on the property is to be rectified immediately at the tenant's expense.
- Upon vacate, a pest control which includes a flea treatment for the interior and exterior of the property is to be completed and the receipt to be handed in with keys.
We would like to make this new addition to your family, a happy time, so please make sure that you get the Owner’s approval before the new pet comes home.
